Hot off the heels of 2007's premiere spring and fall events, NorthPark Center's Fashion at the Park, presented by Cadillac,
celebrates its one year anniversary with another iconic event. Featuring the best of 2008 spring, summer and pre-fall collections
from Wednesday, March 26 - Saturday, March 29, Fashion at the Park welcomes 15 top designer shows and events to their luxury
fashion tent complex.
Offering the public an exclusive experience usually reserved for celebrities and fashion-insiders, Fashion at the Park
is an unprecedented opportunity to view the latest fashions first and "shop the shows." Don't miss the front row action of
Fashion at the Park -- tickets go on sale to the public Feb. 1 at http://www.northparkcenter.com.
After viewing the best of spring and summer on the runway, find your favorite looks in NorthPark Center, one of the premier
shopping centers in the United States with over 235 fine stores and restaurants, including an exceptional collection of luxury
retailers.
"Seeing a collection in a runway show is very different from viewing it in a boutique," said fashion icon and internationally
celebrated designer Oscar de la Renta, who marks his third season with Fashion at the Park. "Fashion at the Park is a wonderful
opportunity to show the complete collection as it was featured on the runway to an audience who may not have been able to
see it in New York, and it gives those customers a chance to purchase the collection right off the runway in our NorthPark
Center boutique."
The 19,000 square-foot luxury tent complex, located between Nordstrom and Macy's, will house day and evening runway shows
featuring the latest collections from: Barneys New York, Custo Barcelona, Oscar de la Renta, Giorgio Armani, bebe, Diesel,
Nordstrom, CH Carolina Herrera, Intermix, Miss Sixty, Macy's, Dillard's and Neiman Marcus. And don't forget the after parties
-- bebe and Diesel keep the glamour going into the night following their runway shows. Head back into the Cadillac Design
Gallery and enjoy DJ-spun tracks, champagne and cocktails.
Nonstop fashion action includes celebrity appearances by international designers, in-store events and trunk shows, film
screenings, free fashion photography exhibits, glamorous charity benefits and more.
Kicking off this year's line-up is an opening event with Barneys New York, featuring a special appearance by Simon Doonan,
Creative Director, Barneys New York.
"Fashion at the Park is a brilliant way of bringing all the madness and excitement of the runway collections to the women
who love fashion the most, the customers," said Doonan.
Carolina Adriana Herrera, the daughter of the legendary Carolina Herrera and "the face of CH Carolina Herrera," and Khajak
Keledjian, CEO of fashion-forward Intermix will also be found on the front row at the March event.
Tent Complex
Throughout the event patrons will sip Moet & Chandon White Star Champagne, glaceau smartwater and special Fashion at
the Park cocktails made with Belvedere Vodka in the Cadillac Design Gallery, which features a 60-square-foot bar, lounge seating
and plasma screens showing Fashion at the Park runway footage. Music maven and Dallas-socialite Lucy Wrubel will keep the
scene hot as she spins tunes from a custom-designed, raised DJ booth, surrounded by the Capital One Bank Lounge. Featuring
chic lounge seating, it's the perfect place to sip cocktails and soak up the stylish atmosphere.
With its prestigious reputation for award-winning design and high-fashion glamour, Cadillac will highlight its new 2008
lineup in the Cadillac Design Gallery, the ideal spot for fashion aficionados to enjoy their time in between shows. A Cadillac
fashion wall, located on the red carpet at the entry of the luxury tent complex, will be a key attraction for paparazzi photos.
